In my opinion the people who wrote these articles have
obviously never been faced the ravages of PARVO well i have and never again. visistors are welcome to meet myself my dogs and visit my home but we do not allow unvaccinated puppies to be handled
When I first started breeding I went to visit several breeders. They would NEVER allow me in to see new born puppies OR their kennel area, and I couldn’t understand why and was honestly offended at first. However, after having my own kennel, I knew EXACTLY why they had their “off limits” policy. No one took the time to explain to me why these rules were set, so I will explain it to you so no one will be offended or think they are being singled out on a visit. I truly appreciate a breeder that is careful with visitors around their kennel and their puppies. You will find that many breeders, ones that truly care, will have some kind of visitation policy. All reputable breeders make it a priority to protect their dogs. The risk of parvo increases for a breeder each and every time the breeder allows the general public to come into contact with their puppies and dogs, regardless of their age. Problems also arise when a breeder not only allows multiple people to handle their young puppies
As for those breeders who do allow visitors, by all means do business with them if you like. Just think, if they allow you to visit, who else has been there, and where have THEY been? Sometimes that fantasy can turn into a nightmare

Hi Janice,
Thought I would give you an update of our gorgeous girl, Doris. She got groomed on Saturday and looked like cinderella all dressed up for the ball - ddn't take her long to get her scruffy look back again:-) We take her out with us often and almost everyone who passes her either stops to talk to her or makes a comment on how lovely/cute she looks - she loves all the attention. She really is a delight to our family and has settled in very well and seems to enjoy the Cayman sunshine - she made us laugh last week when it was raining one morning, and she stood at the door and looked outside as if to say "you expect me to go out in that?" She is very happy and friendly with everyone she meets - she goes to a doggie day care two mornings a week and loves it - she has made lots of doggie friends and is a star with the girls who run the place.

Yesterday we welcomed into our home and hearts the adorable babies Amy and Pickles, Amy now called Amber was a gift for our mother who has struggled with her health in recent years and who lost her beloved dog two years ago. I cannot tell you how happy little Amber has made Mum, she is a sweet loving baby girl, they are both very lucky to have each other. The biggest thanks though has to be for our little Pickle the gorgeous little red smooth haired boy that we fell in love with after choosing Amber for Mum. And who you so kindly gave us for FREE!! Asking only for a donation to hearing dogs for the deaf. He is a very handsome loving and confident little boy, very at home already. We have been so impressed with all your care, both before and after us buying Amy, we had spoken numerous times and you were always so willing to give us your time, with advice and support. Both babies are so confident and at ease in our busy noisy home, unphased by washing machines and common household noises.And also with my German Shepard dog Vicky.. I am asked every day is a girl or boy poodle or cockapoo the best as a family pet? people seem to think the girls are more loving and less complicated !!!!! well you could not be more wrong ! I love my boys and would adopt a boy over a girl any day one set of hormones ! well that says it all lets get serious boys just want to please will love you with utter devotion i find them very patient and forgiving especially if you coincidently tread on them ! the girls will swear and shout at you in between seasons and mood swings and bitchy tantrums especially if there are two of them !! believe me i see it every day in my home , the lads will have a strut but each one knows that I AM THE BOSS the girls will try to push there luck just that little bit further but that is just my opinion but it is 40 years of experience ......! saying all that were would we be with out the females the fairer sex .....haha love em all xx

(I do not dock their tails i am totally against this barbaric practise that is still carried out in the uk and it is time we moved forward and it was stopped TOTALLY FOREVER!!!
